Black Friday email templates are worth almost nothing as empty design shells. What sells is the copy and the timing: which email goes out when, what the subject line says, and how the offer is framed at each step. Most of what ranks for this term hands you a blank drag-and-drop layout or a gallery of pretty screenshots and leaves you to write the words yourself the week before Black Friday, which is exactly when you have no time. This page does the opposite. Below is a full Black Friday and Cyber Monday campaign for a Shopify store, with paste-ready subject lines, preview text, and body copy for every email, plus the 2026 send calendar and how to wire it up in Klaviyo.
One number worth keeping in mind while you plan: Black Friday and Cyber Monday email volumes jump about 33% over a normal period, according to Omnisend's 2024 analysis. The inbox is loud that week. Generic templates get lost in it, so the copy and the offer have to do the work.
What emails belong in a Black Friday campaign?
A Black Friday campaign is a sequence, not a single blast. Here is the shape most Shopify stores should run, and each one has a paste-ready template further down.
- Teaser (about a week out). No offer yet. Tell people something is coming and to watch their inbox.
- Early access for VIPs (a day or two before). Reward your best customers and engaged subscribers with the deal before everyone else.
- Launch (Black Friday morning). The main event. Lead with the offer, keep it short, one clear button.
- Reminder (Black Friday afternoon or evening). Same sale, new angle. Bestsellers, low stock, or a countdown.
- Cyber Monday (Monday morning). Re-open or extend the sale for the last big buying day.
- Last chance (Cyber Monday night). The deadline email. Usually the highest-converting send of the week.
You do not have to send all six. A small store can run teaser, launch, and last chance and do fine. But the more of the sequence you cover, the more revenue you leave on the table if you skip it.
When should I send Black Friday emails in 2026?
Black Friday 2026 falls on November 27 and Cyber Monday on November 30. Here is a send calendar you can drop straight into your plan:
Fri Nov 20 Teaser "Something big is coming"
Tue Nov 24 Early access (VIP) Segment: engaged + past buyers only
Fri Nov 27 Launch (AM) Full list, engaged segment
Fri Nov 27 Reminder (PM) Suppress openers/buyers from the AM send
Mon Nov 30 Cyber Monday (AM) Re-open or extend the offer
Mon Nov 30 Last chance (PM) Deadline, suppress buyers
Two timing rules matter more than the exact hours. First, warm the list up before the 27th so your sudden volume does not look like spam to inbox providers. Second, always suppress people who already bought the sale item, or you will annoy your best customers with a discount they can no longer use.
The Black Friday email templates (copy-ready)
Paste these into Shopify Email or Klaviyo and swap the brackets for your store's real details. They are written to sound like a person, not a coupon machine. Keep subject lines short, because most of these get opened on a phone.

Do your Black Friday emails need a discount?
No, and this is where a lot of stores over-discount out of habit. A percentage off is the easy default, but it is not the only offer that works. A bundle at a fixed price, a free gift with any purchase, early access for loyal customers, and free shipping all give people a reason to buy without training them to expect a sale.
If you do run a discount, make it a single number a shopper understands instantly. "25% off everything" beats a tiered structure where the reward depends on cart size and nobody can do the math in the two seconds they spend on your email. Clear beats clever every Black Friday.

How do I set these up in Shopify and Klaviyo?
Black Friday is a campaign, not an automated flow, so you schedule each of these as a one-time send. In Klaviyo you build them under Campaigns, set the send time, and pick the segment. In Shopify Email you do the same under Marketing.
The segment is where most stores go wrong. Do not send every email to your entire list. Set up three groups:
- Engaged (opened or clicked in the last 90 days). These people get the full sequence. They want to hear from you.
- Unengaged (no opens in 90 days or more). Send them fewer emails, maybe just the launch and last chance, and only if you have warmed them up. Blasting cold contacts during Black Friday is how deliverability gets wrecked.
- Recent buyers of the sale item. Suppress them from the reminder and last-chance sends so you are not offering a discount on something they just paid full price for.
Do not forget your automated flows during Black Friday week either. Your abandoned cart, browse abandonment, and welcome flows should keep running, ideally with a small Black Friday tweak to the copy. Automated emails are worth the attention: they drove about 37% of all email-generated sales in 2024, according to Omnisend, despite being a tiny share of total volume. Turning them off during your busiest week means walking past money.
How do I make these on-brand without writing them all from scratch?
The templates above are the skeleton. The slow part is turning them into six or eight emails that sound like your store, feature your actual products, and match your branding, all before the 27th. That is exactly the work JetFlow is built for: it reads your Shopify store's real products, prices, and brand voice, then generates the campaign emails and popups on-brand so you can review, adjust, and push them into Klaviyo. You still make the calls on offer and timing. You just skip the blank page a week before Black Friday.
However you build them, the same principles hold: run the full sequence, write copy that sounds human, segment so you protect your list, and keep your flows on. If you want to sharpen the part that decides whether any of these even get opened, our guide to abandoned cart email subject lines covers the subject-line rules that apply to every one of these sends.
